How do you use a Flea Fogger?

I have never used one of flea fogger before, I am planning to use this in my small bedroom only. After reading the instruction, all I know is to have it shake-well and then place the fogger on the chair in the center of the room (with newspaper on the chair) and close all the doors and windows? Please correct me if I am wrong.

Because this is a bedroom, and my bed is in the room, also I have a closet with sliding door (seems like fog can sneak inside the closet easily). What should I do with my Bed, Office Desk and Lots of Clothes in the closet, and computer minitor etc?

Do I really have to move all of them out of the room?

If I am just doing it for one room... and if I close the door, will the fogger gets into my living room?

Please help me, whenever I walk into my room, my feet get itchy condition like flea bites (I didn't see any flea though.) (I just moved in, and they had cat here before and I have allergy to cats).

Leave all the clothes and furniture in the room.  Hang up the clothes so they are separated and the air can circulate.  Open your closet and pull out your shoes.  Any shoes that are super special or fancy should be inspected for fleas and then removed from the room.

Cover any plastic surfaces like your computer hardware and CD's.

Close all the windows and doors and set off the bomb and leave the room for a few hours.

When you return open the windows and doors and air out the room.  Wipe clean any surfaces you might eat off of later or the top of your bureau or dresser.

Be prepared to do this two more time three days later and six days later; because the life cycle of the flea from flea to egg to larvae to flea is 9 days and if you miss a day you have to start over and do it ALL again.  Fleas are one of the hardiest species only outdone by the cockroach.

Fleas can exist when the temperature falls below freezing and will awaken when the temp goes above 54 degrees and start their cycle again.

If you pick a flea off of you and do not grind it between your fingers it will get up and bite you again.

The best way to find fleas is to walk through a room with knee length white socks  and no shoes and as they jump on, pinch them off and grind them.  Some times this is the only way to get to sleep;especially if you are so sweet that you attract them like mosquitoes like I do.

ADD: if you take too much stuff out of the room you run the risk of moving the flea eggs, too.  Spreading the eggs enlarges the area to spray three times.
