How do you use a homemade ouija board properly?

oh kay, I've just made a ouija board. I printed one off the internet onto an A4 piece of paper.. and glued it onto a piece of cardboard. Will this work, and what could i use as the pointer.. What questions do i ask. And how do i do it alone?

why would u want to make a ouija anyways?
