  1. don't use it too often, don't go into a tanning bed or into the sun immediately after using it.

if you want to make sure you don't go orange, i would recommend a tinted moisturizer, not a self tanner. tinted moisturizers gradually change your skin colour, and you can use it as often as you'd like. Dove Energy Glow is the best, in my opinion.

if you are set on using a self tanner though, exfoliate first, only apply once.. the colour will not show up until a few hours later. i would recommend applying about a half hour before bed and when you wake up, you will have colour. neutrogena is the best self tanner in my opinion.

  2. Make sure you use a gradual tanner, Neutrogena is a good one. Then exfoliate before use, this will help it look even. You really need to work it into your skin in order for it to look even.

A gradual tanner wont have such shocking results.

    Good luck,

  3. Nuetragena is the best I've tried.  You need to exfoliate first and apply lotion to your knees, ankles and the backs of you knee's first, so it doesn't get too much color and if when it dries and you see streaks, rub some lotion on it and it will even out.
