How do you use an old aluminum coffee maker?

Question

I purchased an old 'Comet' aluminum coffee maker. It's a 9 cup capacity. I'm not sure how to use it. Any ideas?

u have to put coffee grinds into the little thing with holes in it and you drop it into water. cover it and put on stove until you see the coffee getting dark in the cap thingy.

1 tablespoon coffee to 2 cup water

There are 3 sections to old drip pots and one lid for the top. The sections are the bottom (where the brewed coffee will be), the basket (where the grinds will go), and the top (where you will pour the hot water)  For every cup of coffee you want to make, put 1 cup of water to boil.  

Next in the basket of the pot, with the little holes in it, cut a coffee filter or a piece of paper towel to fit the bottom of the basket, (this will allow the water to filter through the grinds without letting them get into the finished, brewed coffee)  fill the basket with coffee grinds. I use one (1) heaping tablespoon of grinds for each cup of coffee.  Place top of pot on the top of basket, once the water is boiled pour into top of pot, pour the water to the line that matches how many cups you are making.  Let coffee drip through the grinds and into bottom of pot.  Once it is finished, you will have wonderful hot coffee.

Is it a percolator style??

does it have the tube stand and basket  and the glass dome in the lid???

OK you add water insert the the percolator tube and basket

Add your grounds as the water boils the bubbles will rise in the tube and splash into the glass dome spreading on the grounds let percolate till the color is dark ?? 2 minuets??

remove the heat and remove the the basket

fill the pot with water up to the level.  Put the stem & basket in the coffee maker.  Fill the basket to taste w/ any coffee grounds.  Put the lid on and cook till it perks.  I cook mine about seven minutes; yours may very depending on several variables.  The more coffee the more cook.  Basic rule longer the stronger.  Best when Camping.  Open fire.  Try it in the fire place?lol
