How do you use the mic on rockband?

It as a USB connection that you plug in you use the controler to navigate the menus. But if you plan to use the mic and play another instrument I would suggest using the headset.!!!

You have to connect a controller and use that to choose the microphone as an instrument.  Also, plugging it into the Xbox helps too.
