How do you use the pokeradar in pokemon pearl/diamond

I previously asked why when you search it will come up red sometimes and somebody told me you need a pokeradar to find it, i have my pokeradar but how do you use it to find a certain pokemon?

you have to use it without being on ur bike and the rare pokemon don't just show up, you have to be patient.

You have to be in a grassy patch, and off your bike to use it and I'm sorry, you can't use the pokeradar to find a CERTAIN pokemon. Like the guy said, you have to be patient.

I had to use the pokeradar to find my plusle, and it took a REALLY long time and it was SOOO worth it.

ok use the pokeradar in the grass. When you use it, you will see some patches of grass shaking.. If it shakes really quickly, that means there might be a rare pokemon there. If the grass shines a bit, that means , there is a shiny pokemon there. Also only certain pokemon are found with a pokeradar. (Eg: swellow and ralts are caught using the pokeradar..
