How do you view traffic tickets online?

My friend received a traffic ticket the other day and lost it. I remember I had once looked up a previous ticket online somehow but I don't remember. Does anyone know how to do this without having the physical ticket?

  1. You do not need the physical copy of the ticket.  You should be able to contact the police agency that issued the ticket and request a copy.  You may have to appear in person and present identification.  If the agency will not  give you a copy of the citation, ask them to tell you which court you have been assigned to.  Then, contact the court.  Be sure that you allow enough time for the court to have received their copy of the ticket.  This may be anywhere from 5 to 7 business days.  The court will be able to give you a copy of the citation or simply tell you how much you owe and/or inform you of when you are required to appear.  Good luck!
