  1. Install Ubuntu Linux, and make an account for them to use.

This is not possible with MS Windows, but I hear that Vista is a little less of a failure with non admin accounts then XP is.

With XP, it is not feasible to be a Limited user - even if you don't install anything, you cannot change basic settings that apply only to your own account and cannot use software properly.

Basically, Linux came from Unix where Everyone (even administrators) are logged in as USERS, but assume root/admin priviledges when they need to change something.

Microsoft now have patented this idea, but cannot manage to prosecute the 50 million users that abused the patent for the 20 years before it was issued, or the other 10 million that still use it today.

Ubuntu is the answer. Free office software, image editing software, licencing for private and corporate use (means if the police know you copied the CD for everyone you go out drinking with, and even if they know you installed it on all of your business computers, they are most likely to respond by saying "Can I get one too?")

No malware, no spyware, no problem.

  2. Put that person over your knee and give them a spank

  3. Turn it off

  4. Hey.

First think you need to do is make them a limited user.

    Then you can goto

Is right-click the folders you do not want changed

    CLick properties

    Security

Edit there security opens for read/write.

As for the control panel, it will be set by default to not allow any changes.
