  1. My two cockatiels love to bathe when they are having some outside of their cage time with me. Provided that it's safe for your birds to be out and about in your home, supply a wide, shallow plate or dish, like a pie plate, and fill it with warm water. Most of my birds naturally love to bathe, but some birds can have an aversion to it. If my birds don't feel like bathing, they love to be misted with warm water from a spray bottle. There are also some very nice feather mist "conditioners" at your local pet store. But NEVER force this on your bird. You could end up scaring him or her so badly that they never want to get near water again! Some birds are very afraid of being sprayed, so see what works for your little buddy best.

  2. you can fill up a sink, bathtub, or pan with 1 inch of clean water and put him in it or beside it. he might not like it at first. make sure its not too cold. Showering can be done too. a bird spray is also a good idea. find one at your local pet shop.

  3. You don't really wash them you just spray them with water from a water bottle or put a bowl of water in the cage for them and they'll wash themselves.

    I hope I helped!

  4. You can go to a pet store and ask to buy a bird spray.  They have many different kinds. Just one for a bird bath is nice. I use Bird Bath Spray by Ultra Care diluted with half water and it works really nice on my budgies. Good luck.

  5. You dont wash a bird, you put a pie pan of water out for it (tepid) and let it clean itself. NEVER put soap on it. Water is ample in nature and it is in captivity.

  6. i dont use any product, i let my tiel sit with me in the shower, he gets misted and he loves it...for the most part  :) lol goodluck! check out http://parrotcentral.net/

  7. i would say get him in the shower. he would probably love it but i've never had one personally. or run some watr in the sink or tub like a bird bath.

  8. cockatails lungs are  very sensitive...I recommend getting a special spray at petco that mist on and helps to keep them clean but besides that they pretty much clean themselves
