  1. Best bet is dry cleaners, I bought mine from Germany , And I will be dam if I am sticking it in the washing machine

  2. Yes on cold with light detergant and hand wash cycle.  I have a 3 year old and wash mine all the time.  It is still in great shape.

  3. i drop mine off at the laundromat.  it costs about 45 dollars.

  4. yep

  5. When the comforter is small enough to fit into a washing machine, you can wash it this way. Use warm water and a mild soap as for wool.

A big comforter can be washed and rinsed in the bathtub.

  6. If you have a large enough washing machine where it can fully agitate gently enough, yes, you can wash it in the machine, on cold / cool cycle (hot will drastically SHRINK your item).

If you don't have a large enough machine, you can take it to the dry cleaner, or you can take it to the laundromat and use one of their commercial size washers.

To dry it though, in order to make sure the down doesn't get matted, stick a clean tennis shoe in the dryer (or a dirty one in a pillow case or something similar), to help 'beat' the comforter as it dries, and dry on low .

  7. Yes you can. I wash mine in the gentle cycle in hot water.

  8. A Launder mat could be a good place, I usually just put one comforter in the washer, and in the dryer i just use Perm press.

  9. I've taken mine to the laundromat and washed it in a triple load washer.  When you dry it, throw in 3 or 4 clean tennis balls to help keep it from bunching up.

Once a diaper service ran an ad for cleaning comforters.  They picked it up at my house and returned it clean.  It didn't cost too much to have it done that way.

  10. If it is like mine, It has down feathers and best to not wet it.Mine says to shake it ever so often  and     to professionally clean..

  11. I bought a down comforter  i still have it and use it it says dry clean only  and i am not gonna pay soomeone to do my laundry and wash stuff and so   it being a king size i was afraid i couldnt get it into my washing machine , but I did and i washed it on the heavy cycle because on gentle it didnt even get it wet on some parts , i used Gain laundry detergent and i dryed it on air dry , sometimes i hang it out to dry  depends on the weather , but i have had it for about a year now and i have washed it  about 50 times  and it is perfectly fine .
