  1. You can buy a bottle of pet stain remover. Be sure to get the one with "Enzymes", because it will actualy break down the chemicals in the urine, elimating the smell AND the stain. You can get it at almost any pet store, just be sure to get the one with enzymes. Its expensive, but its worth it! Also works on blood stains, sweat stains--pretty much stains from anything that comes from a living person (or pet).

As for the long run, put a waterproof sheet on his matress. The plastic ones work best, but you can get cloth waterproof covers. The benefit to the plastic is that it doesnt need to be laundered, it can just be wiped off with a cloth.

Even better, your son can wear some sort of protection. Depending on his age, a regular diaper (Pampers Cruisers makes a size 7 diaper), or a pull up made for older kids (GoodNites, UnderJams, etc). It makes for less cleanup, and allows him to keep his accidents private. Nobody needs to know, he can just trow out the wet diaper in the morning.

  2. Hmm..

    Flip it over?

  3. I had this problem with my son, we just steam clean the mattress, with a regular steam vacuum cleaner or you could use a wet dry vac or rug shampooer, after you cleaned it get a chamois cloth to place on the wet spot to soak up any more moisture. after it dries, flip over the mattress and get a mattress cover for the next time. when you flip the mattress over, any residual moisture will show up in a stain. repeat the cleaning process again to clear up any left over residual moisture. and spray the mattress with an antibacterial spray. such as Lysol. this is what we do, I hope this helps you.

  4. obviously you need a mattress pad cover for these kinds of problems

  5. When I was younger I used to wet the bed- almost nightly haha- eventually I got embarassed about waking up my parents and learned how to clean it up on my own.  I'd reccommend using one of two things either:

    1) Pet waste remover  (the stuff usually made by lysol designed to remove pet urine- but works beautifully to remove kids urine too (including the stain)).

    2) or if you don't have that Pinesol works well to remove the smell- though the stain will stay if you've let it sit for to long.

    Hope this helps!

  6. I would give the mattress a wipe over with a clean cloth with some strong disinfectant on it, don't have the cloth to wet but not to dry either, then if you can stand it up by an open window to dry off, and put it back onto the bed with the dryer side up, and remake it with clean sheets, hopefully that will work, maybe add a weak solution of bleach also in the water with th disinfectant

  7. be aware- pee, or any body fluid or liquid on a mattress automatically voids it's warranty.  it won't be replaced by the manufacturer. they send out matress technicians to inspect a mattress when a warranty claim is submitted and they will put in their reports that fluids were present on the mattress. they can also measure the sagging with a ruler and measuring tape so don't bother trying to fool them by cleaning up the fluid and placing a claim anyways.

  8. you might try a foam spray can of carpet cleaner. spray. let dry. vacuum. voila.

  9. Remove all bed linen, and let it air dry out.  Then you need to buy 2 mattress pads, so you will have a spare for the next time he has accident.

    Good Luck
