  1. I rinse them off in the sink, putting the leftover tid-bits in the garbage disposal--then put the stuff in the dishwasher.

When I didn't have a dishwasher, I had one of those sponge wands with soap in the handle, and just scrubbed them that way. I also have a little scraper to get the tough stuff off, from Pampered Chef. I hate dishrags, they get all grimy and collect bacteria.

  2. for dishwasher i rinse and put in dishwasher along with cascade. add a small amount of bleach and wash. by hand i put dish liquid and a small amount of bleach in hot water, wash , rinse, dry. done.

  3. When it's just me, alittle soap on the sponge and wash and rinse with really hot water, then let them air dry. If the kids and grandkids come over I load the dishwasher for sure!

  4. They're usually soaking in the sink, but when i'm ready, i take them out of the sink and just wash them using a dish rag and dish washing liquid, then i rinse.

i don't wash them in the water like some people do; they say it gets clean, but i really don't believe that. trying to clean a dish in dirty, germ water? i don't think so.

  5. have my dogs l**k the remains off.

    ...jkkk dishwasher (duh)

  6. Being  Conservative, I wash them by hand, rinse them and then leave them to dry. On a really slow or day when I don't feel hurried or ill I wipe them and put them away.  I use earth friendly dish detergent, and you would be surprised, it goes pretty far.  Gl

  7. I soak them in the sink and then wash with detergent and rinse by hand under running hot water, put them on the drain board, lastly dry with a dish towel. Never use our dishwasher. That drives up our gas and electric bill.

  8. Rinse under the tap & place in the dishwasher. If you don't have a washer, place in your sink & fill with hot water & dish detergent, wash clean & dry with a clean dish towell.

  17. I use both my dishwasher and by hand. Usually I wash up the quick stuff I will need for the next cooking experience by hand. Other non needed items or duplicates go into the dishwasher.

I really hate to pull something out of the dishwasher not cleaned yet, and hand wash it to use it and that is always icky...and stinky. It takes a few days for us to fill up the dishwasher unless we have company.

  18. By hand. Have a nifty gadget that you fill with soap & it has a sponge where the soap comes out. Don't ever have enough dishes to warrant using the power of a dishwasher.

  19. fill the sink with arm to hot water and add dish soap, soak the dishes for anout 2 minutes and scrub under water, rinse them through water and let dry.

  20. Wash big pots and pans in sink to save room in dishwasher...everything else gets rinsed and put in the dishwasher.

Take them out, put them in the cupboard.

Then take a glass out of the cupboard for drink, realise its dirty and wash it by hand.

  26. I make a sink load of soapy water, then I rinse the dishes once before I put them on the side. I then take a dish and scrub it in the soapy water until it is clean.. ( all the "stuff" off) rinse again and Bravo.!!

( do a little dance.) Or you could put them on the drying rack.

  27. i still don't have a dishwasher...and I have 2 kids, myself, and my husband living in my house.

  28. By hand.  I fill the sink only about a 1/3 full of soapy water.  Start with the silverware and glassware, then the dishes, then the pots and pans.

  29. Since I dont pay for water, (Im not wasteful) I turn on the tap put some dishes in wash and then rinse over the soaped up water, when the sink is full of water I drain some  water until I am finished washing and rinsing. Or I dont plug the sink and just wash and rinse until I am done.
