How do you waste water through Agriculture PLEASE ANSWER!!!?

Can you please help, thanks!! How do people waste water through agriculture?

Would it be filling up man made lakes , pools, over garderning?

Does this make sense, its HW and I want to make sure I understand the question correctly? Thanks so much!!

Driven by rapid urbanization and growing wastewater volumes, wastewater is widely used as a low-cost alternative to conventional irrigation water: it supports livelihoods and generates considerable value in urban and peri-urban agriculture despite the associated health and environmental risks. Though pervasive, this practice is largely unregulated in low-income countries, and the costs and benefits are poorly understood.

Another way we waste water is by leaving the hose on, leaving the faucet running, not finishing opened water bottles, etc...

We never waste water, we use water.

But yes, through irrigation canals and keeping it in resevoirs, we do divert and drain water from those downstream.
