How do you watch nfl games online for free?

I don't have the nfl network because I have timewarner digital cable which doesn't carry it. I want to watch the Cowboys game tonight, but it's not on timewarner, but it is on the nfl network. I've heard there were ways to watch the game for free online, but how? Thanks in advance!

I tried subscribing to a site to watch soccer online and even with high speed connection, it was really bad and not worth watching.

I had TimeWarner too and was tolerant about the NFL Network issue since I live in the Dallas area and we get all the Cowboy games anyway. But Last year I got a 50" HD plasma and soon discovered that you do get a lot more HD channels with Direct TV or even Dish. You also get the Fox Sports channels for other regions as well as your own. The prices are about the same no matter what and the only real draw back is having to sign a 24 month contract that you have to pay $10/month for any remaining if you decide to cancel.

Right now you even get 4 months of NFL ticket included if you go with the “everything” package. I know that there is no way for the game tonight, but just something to consider for the regular season if you watch a lot of games, especially if you want to catch all of the Dallas games and do not live here.

I watch NFL on SopCast.

You have to download the software.

It is streaming video, so it can freeze up and get choppy, but it's better than nothing.
