  1. There is special wax made just for cars.  It is different from wax for furniture and other things.  Make sure you are using car wax.  It comes in a round tin, and you rub it on like a paste, then let it dry and wipe it off.

  2. Everyone else covered the answer... apply thin coat, let dry, then rub it off with clean dry cloth. I would add to do a small area at a time.  You may find that you run out of muscle half way through.  (Depending on the size of your vehicle.)

  3. Buy a good product for waxing like Turtle was or something of that calibre.  Wash the car and let it dry completely. Park the car out of the sun.  Take a clean soft cloth (you do not want an abrasive cloth for this job) and put some wax on it...following the directions on the label of the bottle.  Rub the wax onto the car in small sections, in little circles.   Let the wax dry  then get another clean soft cloth to buff the wax (make it shine)  It takes a long time to do it right but the results are great.

  4. Put the wax on a cloth then wipe it on the car. Then wait about 5 minutes (until it dries). Then in circular motions with another cloth/rag wipe the wax off.

    result: shiny

  5. Most cars have clear coating and don't really require wax. If you want to do a quick job with less work then use a quick detailer spray. Use on a clean car. Spray into a soft cloth such as flannel or microfiber, wipe on then wipe again with another clean cloth.

  6. Well make sure that you have the right type of wax product or you could damage the finish of you car....

We like NU-FINISH it comes in an ORANGE BOTTLE with BLACK letters and it more of a liquid.  Easier to work with than paste!  It also lasts a really, really long time.. It's marketed as the ONCE a YR. POLISH... Anyway, get yourself some soft towels or cloths and work in small sections.. .If the wax dries too hard it's really hard to remove!

Also, try to wax your car when it's NOT super hot/humid or sunny it speeds up the drying on the wax!

Put the wax on in thin coats, in small sections and let it dry to a haze... Buff with a soft cloth or clean, dry mitt until glossy..... REPEAT!

    WAX ON, WAX OFF.....!

    good luck
