  1. Desert Camel - have you ever actually pulled a wheelie? It sounds like you have read in a magazine somewhere how to do it and your memory is not quite up to the task.

Slipping the clutch at 3000 rpm will not make the front end go light - I think you read 'dip the clutch' and have gotten your terms mixed up.

  2. The best way is not to bother but if you must please do it OFF the public roads or at the very least well away from me

I have no problem with these stunts but I do really think it should not be on the public highway

I have been biking for many years and had quite a few different bikes and can say that I have never done a wheelie nor do I ever want to

It really does not impress me but what does impress me is seeing a young rider that has respect for himself, his machine and every other road user.  In other words a good motorcyclist.  The trickster just gets us all a bad name

Sorry but thats it for me !!

Keep safe and on the right side of the grass, the green side.

  3. Just keep trying, You'll get a feel for it. Knee-downers are much more fun, and probably safer.

  4. Select 1st accelerate hard then shut off hard the suspension will compress as the suspension rebounds back up accelerate hard again this is  just on power no clutch to get the feel of it the only problem with clutching it up is that it may come up to sharp for starters...Fred puling wheelies is BIG and is Cleaver the only people who think differently are people who haven't made the effort to lean what is only another skill/level of bike control.best done on a private road , track or Auto-route toll exit...grin all the way to the Med.

  5. lol...these questioons always make me snigger...it can be hard enough to controle 2 wheels let alone 1!....

second gear 3000 rpms, sit back, slip the clutch, let it out fast and pull the bars....just raise the revs/lift harder each time to your feel confident, remember tuching the back brake will throw the front end down hard......

    see you in A&E
