How do you work a Commodore 128?

looking through my parent's basement i found a Commodore 128, i hooked it up to a TV and powered it up, but I'm stuck at the first page, Sadly my parents threw out the manual years ago.

could anyone help?

  1. commodore 128 is obselete. by default it uses C programming language. if you know little of ms-dos, it should help also.

  3. Commodore 128 uses Basic program language to allow you to create and run programs.  I have the 64 version but it works the same way.  In any case try the link below and see if you can create your own programs.

  4. Yeehaw! I never owned one, but you have to load programs with the "load" command and some following gibberish. You'll also want a Commodor-branded cassette drive, and preferably a floppy disk drive, too. Just so you know, the C128 is basically just a C64 with twice the RAM and 80 column text as opposed to 40.
