How do you work ipod touch with Logic i-Speakers speakers?

Every time I connect my iPod Touch with the i-Speakers and tap music, it comes up saying Accessory Attached, and does not let me control the music manually from the iPod itself. Is there anyway to change this so I don't have to use the speakers remote control?
