Hey.

So im 13 and my mom got into a bit of a accident, so i have to do my laundry. And i've never done laundry before, so all i need to know is how you do it... How much detergent do you put in, do you put in anything else like bleach? And also what setting do you put in on. Im doing my darks, if it matters. There are settings like cold cold, warm cold, hot cold, small extra large, rinse, spin, cool down....

I really appriciate the help.

  1. To be on the safe side, use cold water on your clothes.  Towels and things like that you can use warm.

I use the large setting on all my loads unless they are really small.

Usually a capful of detergent is enough.

Better too little than too much.

Just stay away from the bleach!!

  2. as for liquid detergent put a cup full in the bottom of the washing machine while the water is running..

if its powder just a scoop full will do.

seperate the clothes into three piles

    -whites

    -lites

    -dark

for whites put the setting on hot, and you add bleach after the machine has started swishing the clothes for a few minutes.

for lites put the setting on cool or cold, and no bleach unless you have color safe bleach

and for dark color clothes, put the setting on cold, and no bleach unless you have color safe bleach.

once all the clothes are almost done, there is a cycle called rince in which u have to listen for, if you have liquid clothes softner this is the time to add it. just add a top full of softner and wait until the machine stops and your done.

just add the clothes to the dryer until they are done.

  3. one capful of detergent

set the machine for cold/cold until you know what settings to use for different clothes
