Question:

How do you write a CV if you're still in school?

I'm 15 years old, and am considering applying to Borders for a part time job next April. I was told to write myself a CV and send it in.

First of all, what is a CV?

Second of all, what do I write for it since I have only 1 completed GCSE so far? The rest I'm still doing.

Thanks in advance for your help!

  1. A C.V is a curriculum Vitae. It's like ur personal information. It is actually for graduates and undergraduates.Ok this is it.

(make a box in the left and put ur passport in it )

NAME:  (Son Name, Middle name, first name)

    s*x:

    STATE OF ORIGIN:

    EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:

    WORK EXPERIENCE:(if any)

REFERENCE:(any adult can reference u. best option is ur parents and ur teacher. They would write this down themselves)

    I think that's all u'll need.Good luck

  2. Write about your interests, in the qualifications bit try and find out what grade's you're predicted and put them. make sure you say they're only predicted ones though.

  3. in Word template, you will get diff kinds of templates for CVs, including a simple one for students. you just need to mentions name, age, address etc, family details, education, interests and any awards or volunteering you have done.

  4. a cv is a personal resume of your achievements/personal profile...

    (curriculum vitae)...

.... a good thing to do would be to get a cv template and simply fill in whichever one you think suits you best. take a look at this microsoft site, they have loads to suit...

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templa...

  5. A cv is a curriculum vitae or basically a history of your productive life (work, study and other activities) to date.  Yours will concentrate largely on your school activities but not just academic.  If you have followed extra curricular activities such as out-of-school clubs etc. you can write about them.  The main thing is to include things which emphasise positive things like leadership qualities, teamwork, creativity etc

    good luck with your application
