How do you write a complaint about a manager fixing your garbage disposal and pipes?

I reported it to them about a week ago and they still haven't fixed it. But said they are waiting on money to fix it. Meanwhile I can't use that side of the sink without the water going right through the pipes to a bucket I put under it. It is beginning to smell up my apartment too! But I empty any water that goes through. I have trouble getting this place to fix ANYTHING without a fuss but don't want to always be this way.

  1. Tell the Super if he dosent fix it in a timely manner you will report it to the Health Department and the Building Dept. in your town.

  2. Tell them you're going to get a plumber yourself, and deduct it from the rent.

Or, next time you send a rent check, also send a photo of the water leaking into the bucket.

  3. Contact the local health department.

  4. Make sure you document every thing you do concerning this matter.Send the management company or owner a certified letter stating the problem and the untimely manner that it has not been corrected. It is not your fault they do not have the money to make the repairs they have an obligation to you as a tenant.Always be sure you pay your rent on time so they cannot use that one against you.And if you get no results call the local housing authority and report them.By not correcting the problem this is creating a health problem you probably have mold growing under the sink cabinet from the moisture. It may not be out in the open where you can see it but under the cabinet base it self also have them check this if you think it is a concern this mold is not a good thing especially if you have small children around the house.
