well that depends on what you are trying to appeal.  

grades, too many attempted hours, dropped to many classes, combination of both?  

The key is to clearly explain why you are in trouble with fin aid (so they know you understand and aren't going to do it again) and then explain a carefully thought out plan so you will meet your educational goals.
