I'm doing my summer math, and I need help with this question.

So, if someone could please show me the steps and stuff. I'd love to know how

  1. 36(10)

    6(6)(10)

    2(3)(2)(3)(2)(5)

    2^3 ( 3^2) ( 5)

  2. 360 = 2 x 180

    = 2 x 2 x 90

    = 2 x 2 x 2 x 45

    = 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 15

    = 2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 3 x 5

    = 2^3 x 3^2 x 5

Basically you systematically divide out all of the prime factors of 360 until you have none left, group them together and write in exponential notation.

  3. 360 = 36 x 10 = 6 x 6 x 10 = 2 x 3 x 2 x 3 x 2 x 5 = 2^3 x 3^2 x 5
