Matt has six piercings.

According to Word, 'piercings' is not a word nor is piercing's. But PIERCING is. So how do I type it up?

You were right.  It's just that Microsoft Word does not recognize every word.  You might have to add some words to its dictionary so that it will accept them as the correct spelling.

Just add piercings to your Word spell check dictionary and you won't get any mistake marks again.
