Gross Q...I know, but I'm curious :P

We just went for a walk and there was this weird pile of grey hair on the sidewalk. I had to drag my big ol' babies past it. Lacie kept turning around looking after it...like she thought it was chasing us LOL!

  1. ahh.... the dreaded rabbit that we come across on our off leash walks...fun...NOT!!

they seem to forget their names and all training when the find something they want...I just keep an air horn so I can call them back..

Aylas not sure how to walk off leash yet, at 4 years old, so the off leash romps in the woods are not for her yet

  2. My dog is convinced that I must inspect every weird thing, including snake skins, to dead animals.  After he nudges me towards whatever, I tell him, "Ok, now let's go" and he is quite satisfied, since I saw it, too.

  3. <<<<~ Tori found a freshly dead bird, picked it up with relish and ran off with her "prize" to eat it. She reappeared with feathers hanging out of her mouth.

If she found a dead animal she would think it was her lucky day!

  4. LOTS of sniffing. They are very interested in wild animals anyway, dead or alive.

Lexy sometimes tries to take it with her, it's hard to get her past that!

  5. Eh, Lily is a schnauzer. Bred to be a ratter.

She's not really interested in other animals unless they move....

    Dead squirrel? Who cares.

Live squirrel? OMG OMGOMGOMG *pull on lead* COME BACK OMG LET ME KEEL YOU!!!!!!!

  6. My dog weighs about 140 lbs. REACT to dead animals? Mine CREATES dead animals!

  7. They want to rub their bodies all over on it. It's disgusting.

  8. They don't react to anything dead but if it's alive.....

  9. Ha thats strange because Alf did the same thing! Always tries to have a sneaky nibble, the gross bugger.

However, he prefers holding little apples in his mouth as ball substitutes. :)

And my weird sense of humour - burst out laughing at the "weird pile of grey hair on the sidewalk". :D

EDIT - Oooh sorry about that!! Oh, bless her. Alfie, (as you know now) loves anything, ANYTHING that smells like a sewer.

  10. Lol once we found an adorable little shrew on the side of the path, but it was dead and Myann (my pomeranian) just smelled it, eughhh! XP

  11. Amy always has to have a roll in anything dead she finds, and Milly, well Milly's just got to eat it!

She will eat as fast as she can before I've got time to drag her of it, then she wonders why she's always got the sh*t's, and then needs the vet to stick his finger up her bottom and express her anal glands.

If she weren't "chocolate" (of all the Labs, the chocolate ones are the dim ones!) then maybe she could put two and two together and twig that dead things = finger up the bottom! lol.

If she could manage that then l'd never have run across the field looking like a lunatic, shouting at the top of my voice "Milly, NO".

But then she is chocolate, and I love her just the way she is, lol.
