  1. just like crickets' legs rubbing together make noise, just like wind pants rubbing on one another make noise, just like you scratching your arm makes noise.

    the friction produces sound waves.

a zipper's a thing, just like anything else.

  2. The noise comes from  each side of the zipper clicking together, but sense you pull it so fast it sounds louder.because they all click together so fast.

  3. As the clasp is raised or lowered, there is friction which takes place between the edges of both sides of the metal seam and the clasp.  There is also friction with the material the zipper is attached to as the clasp is moved.  These combined frictions release/generate energy which our brains interpret as sounding like a zipper.

  4. When you raise or lower the tag, you cause pairs of interlocking "prongs" to attach or separate.  This generates sound as even a single safety pin will do when the sprung spike hits the casing. So it is like a hundred safety pins being snapped into place one after another, but very quickly, so the sound is almost continuous.
