How doe's nitrogen fixation impact on land for future cropping. Yr 12 ag study :(?

i need like a pros and con list and all the ways that nitrogen gets into the soil

Nitrogen is fixed into the soil by bacteria and lightning.

One pro is that nitrogen fixed into the soil makes the soil more fertile as this nitrogen is accessible by other plants.

One con is that if there are too many nitrates in the soil and these are taken in by crops, the food is not good for consumption.
