  1. I don't think BJJ consists of knife defense unlike the original JJJ. BJJ is more consisted of ground game and pure submissions. In my personal opinion, it's better suited as a sport than defense. Sure it can be used as defense but it has many more flaws than the average martial art.


  2. It seems like the main focus is to first, protect your vital organs (head and chest) even if you have to sacrifice an arm.  Second, to control the hand with the knife, and to last, to disarm the person.

  3. standing kimura might work. But I think there are better ways to deal with knifes.
