How does BigGates work, I know it is something to do with exchange control but what?

Do most citizens of Venezulela have a US$ bank account ?

Can citizens of Venezuela move local currency as they wish ?

  1. Venezuela is great, you have to go, is an amaizing place, full of beautiful womans.


  2. No. There is something called "control de cambio" that only allow us to buy a limited amount of US dollars yearly. If you are approved by the government you can get up to 3000$ for shopping on the Internet or if you are going to travel you can get 600$ cash and up to 4000$ for credit cards. You have to prove you are going to travel taking you passport with visa and boarding pass to the bank.

    It is very difficult for Venezuelans to have American bank accounts and only a limited amount of rich people can afford to do so. 80% of the population is poor.

    They can do whatever they want with local currency.
