McCain has gutted his own convention by canceling speeches. The RNC is only going over the formalities, and is not really making any news worthy headlines. That contrasts greatly with the DNC, where every day they loaded their convention with high profile people. The two highest profile people, the president and the vice president, that were supposed to speak have been canceled.

As a side note, for months I have heard nothing but negativity about Obama from most news sites. How does this add up to media favoritism? It seems to me that everyone is trying to be the first to cover something bad, and noone is having much luck.

It's Obama's fault. The hurricane that is preventing equal coverage of the conventions. I am glad the tides have changed and we get to quit blaming Bush for everything, now I am going to blame Obama for every little thing that goes wrong.

You can't compare the two. There wasn't a major story breaking at the same time the democratic convention was getting underway. From the little I've seen of the republican convention on CNN, the same reporters are covering it the same way they covered the DNC convention.

Chris Matthews is the posterboy of a demented aged reporter. He is on the way out, and he knows it. The coverage for the RNC Convention will be as biased as ever.

These media outlets are no longer respected news outlets, people know they have an agenda, the good thing is if you know where a snake is lying you can avoid stepping on it.
