  1. It may influence the way that my city handles traffic now and in the future.  I live in Tampa and the traffic is getting worse as Tampa grows, but the roads are not keeping up with traffic, so it is very frustrating to drive even 10 minutes from your house.  I'm sure that our planners review other city's plans to see how to correct our roads.  Hopefully they do anyway!

  2. It's just part of the cost of living.  It doesn't impact me a lot, because I live close to school and work, but it impacts my family and friends sometimes.  There are things you can do to avoid it if you're flexible.

  3. Not at all, since I live in Texas.

We have our own horrible traffic congestion problems to deal with.

  4. It doesn't directly, because I don't live in California, but indirectly it does because all the pollution from car exhausts goes into the air that I and everyone else on this planet, breathes.

  5. it doesnt

  6. It takes me 2 hours to drive 35 miles in rush hour traffic.  On days I have to go into the office (3 days a week) I spend an average of 3-4 hours on the freeway, and that's if there's no accidents.

  7. Ugh!  I commute about 40 miles each way 5 days per week.  I spend a total of about 4 hours per day on the freeway.  It is not fun at all.  It can be much longer if there is an accident.  I try to work off hours to help a little, but my minimum one-way drive is still about 1.5 hours.
