  7. i read in an article.  They give pref to the sports.  There is no politics or any interference by someone. Purely merit.  They train them from the childhood.  Tremendous training.  China's motivation is to gain prizes wherever it goes.  They concentrate on it and the govt encourages well.  They are bringing special trainers from other countries. There are special stadiums, indoor stadiums maintained well with all equipments.  All of a sudden on showing their talents, they are not allowed to play. They are given opportunities to show talents several times in their camps and only after their satisfaction they allow the players to contest Asian games, olympics and others.

  8. I don't  know, but I know how CE motivates it's clique...

yang yilin is the saddest face of the entire olympics. the poor child has not seen her family for over a year. she doesn't know if they are there to watch her performance. she has no choice in what she does.

how about the bronze medal winner in shooting who was browbeaten on chinese tv to admit that instead of being proud of his bronze medal, he had let his country down by not winning gold. the olympic spirit does not exist in china.

  14. The guy in the poster is the chap who had to pull out after a false start due to achilles trouble I think.
