  1. I'm not certain about UK radio compared to the US but technically speaking, you don't have to apologize for anything you say -- but you may not have a job the next day.

    Moyles is aired in the US on Sirius Satellite Radio and the FCC (US) rules that apply to traditional radio do not apply to Satellite radio because it's not public airwaves. So that should allow him more freedom to do it legally plus his contract and ratings likely allow him creative freedom to do or say a lot of what he wants.

    For the most part, even on traditional radio, you could say any "swear word" on-air minus the F-word or variations of it and you'd be okay on most stations -- although some listeners might take offense to the language.
