With all that trash-talk, how should Federer feel that Djokovic got his buttocks kicked in straight sets by Safin?

I think that Federer would rather lose to Safin in the semifinal.

  1. I think Federer feels a little bit relieved. Djokovic wouldn't have been as much of a threat as Nadal, but he woud have been a pretty considerate threat. If Safin plays the way he did today against Federer (considering he makes it all the way there), Federer's in for quite a match. But I think that Roger can really do some damage and close out Safin pretty easily if they face. Safin has to worry about the other matches though.

Federer would not like to lose to anybody, actually. Yes, Federer, if he lost, would probably rather lose to Safin because Safin isn't that big a threat in the rankings. Federer  probably would like to remain at the #1 ranking, and doesn't think Djokovic has worked hard enough and wants to defeat him and keep him from winning any other grand slams.

    HOPE THAT CLEARED EVERYTHING UP!

  2. he would be happy

  3. I don;t believe for a second Roger wouldnt care. Hes not gonna be openly happy abut it but I'm sure he smiled when he heard the news.

  4. The easier the better. He has nothing to prove to Djo, Nadal is the one I'm sure he would prefer to meet and play in the finals.

Djo's mouth plays better than he does.

  5. He probably would have prefered to play him and beat him just to shut every one up.

  6. I don't think Roger cares much about it. But Djokovic should show some respect to other players before opening his big mouth.

  7. It seems that it is not an advantage for him.  In  the interview he said that "Novak being knocked out doesn’t make my day any better. I’m concentrating on my own section of the draw".

  8. I don't Roger cares or is even looking that far ahead. His job is to dismantle every opponent one by one no matter who they are (Marat Safin) or think they are (Novak Djokovic).

Roger Federer 6 time Wimbledon Champion.

  9. I think Federer is pleased with today's proceedings. Djokovic got his clock cleaned by Safin though. Who saw that coming?

  10. Federer is not the type of player to celebrate some other good player getting knocked out early. He doesn't read or even listen to any tennis talk prior to the matches. I don't think it makes any difference to Federer who he'd have played in the semi finals he would likely have beaten either of them. This is grass here, not hard or clay. Federer is on a totally different level on grass a true gift and genius of the surface as Nadal is to clay.
