  1. I dont know his daily routines, and I dont know how all these people seem to know hmmmm?

but what I do know is that he skill trains almost year round, and he trains a single style at a time and only with guys who do that style, i.e. he trains his wrestling with the canadian wrestling team, his boxing with pro boxers, his bjj with bjj guys etc etc. then about 1 month before a fight he goes to an MMA camp (mostly with greg jackson now) to bring it all together. I really dont know specifics on his cardio/strengh training.

  2. He usually does 6 sets of 20 diamond pushups with 60 seconds or possibly less break between sets. 6 sets of 20 diamond pushups. all the way down all the way up.

  3. He does multiple training sessions throughout the day. They encompass everything from wrestling practices to kickboxing/muay thay sparring to condition work (heavy bags, crossfit, running).

There are usually 3 sessions of 2 hours each. Diet and sleep are critical.

As you can guess, this kind of output cannot be normally achieved, so you must add performance enhancing drugs to the mix. Usually a combination of test-e cyopinate and an ECA stack. Regular checkups with his doctor will ensure these drugs are not detected by random testing.

  4. The short version is

Morning - skill training - depending on the day it's boxing, Muay Thai, BJJ or all-around training with David Louiseau, Nate Marquardt, Rashad Evans, etc.  (He's been training at Greg Jackson's camp in New Mexico.)  Recently lots of muay thai and grappling training.

Evening - cardio and strength training - running, jumprope, weights, complexes, and supersets with low weight high rep.  He's about as big as he can get to stay in his weight class, so he's not gaining weight, just making sure that his muscles are really conditioned.  Lots of max heart rate training (intervals) for recovery and efficient oxygen usage.

Diet is HUGE for GSP - he's very strict about his diet - very little fat, controlled calories, and balanced meals with lots of lean protien, clean carbs, and fruits and veggies.
