  1. Particular forest types are where they are, because conditions (precipitation, soil, temperature) are conducive to those plants and animals that live there. If the temperature/ weather patterns change, those same plants and animals will not find those places as suitable, and may migrate or (in time) grow in other places that meet thier needs. This can happen in any forest type. Temperate forest will most likely move north, and higher and elevation.


  2. since we have only seen less than one degree increase in areas other than the north pole, it probably wont effect temperate forests...

    It effect the areas that are on the edges of temperate regions, but atleast in my area, the forest wont change because of some stupid little 1 degree increase.
