  1. all you guys except for asian dragon are wrong.

He uses the filipino martial arts of kali and eskrima.

These martial arts have the same concepts and techniques whether for knives, sticks, or hand to hand combat, making them so effective.

  2. Choreographer practices a few moves with him, he does a few moves, director yells "cut", calls in a stuntman, more choreographer time and a few more moves, breaks for lunch, more choreographer and a few more moves, puts on a harness and some wires, more choreographer and a few moves, goes home for the day.

Then some editor puts together about 3 days worth of film to make it look like the fight all happened in 2 minutes of continuous action.

  3. He uses choreographed-for-the-movies Krav Maga.  The original novels written in I believe the 1970's or 1980's said that he was a "martial arts expert," but lately the fiction has said he does Krav Maga, as for all intents and purposes it has become the martial art for government dogs the world over.

  4. ummm... i think in the special features it says something about the filipino martial art kali...but im not sure...

  5. With Choreographed fight sequences. Anyone could look awsome with enough takes.

Edit- Oh wow Roddy, owning the DVD's makes you an expert. Without choreography, numerous takes, and camera angles his fighting would not look anywhere that pretty and polished, which you would know if you actually trained.

  6. In the books, he uses a fake mystical art that is a branch of Kung Fu.

In the movies, he supposedly uses Krav Maga. In actuality, it's part Kali, part Krav, part USMC Close-Quarters, and part Hollywoo-do.

  7. You are all wrong.  I trained Jason Bourne personally.

I can teach you to, but you must watch 'Revenge of the Ninja' 12 times in one day first.

  8. Hollywood.

  9. Jason Bourne destroys anything in his path. This guy will kick James Bond's ***. Best movie character I've seen in a long time.
