Wow, did you just see Jimmy on NASCAR Raceday on SPEEDTV? They were talking about the new format for the Bud Shootout and he said "It's a bunch of c**p!" Do you agree or disagree with his perspective? I like him much better as a prerace host than I liked him as a driver. He always tells it like it is.

  1. maybe next year for  the all star race they can have the drivers with the sexiest wives or girlfriends be locked in.

  2. The only reason Jimmy Spencer said anything about it is because Dale Jr criticized it.  I liked it the way it was.too. I agree with him but he wouldnt have said it like that if it was Patrick Carpentier said that same thing.

  3. I agree with you Trego  that is just wrong.

  4. He does always tell it like it is. I don't get where they are going with the shootout now. I can't understand why they thought it needed any fixing at all. They have already changed it a few times, and with each change it gets worse.

  5. stock car racing is freakin boring as all h**l anyway

    a bunch of c**p indeed!

  6. Trego, I rarely ever agree with Spence, but yep its a total total bunch of c**p...When is Na$car going to quit fixing stuff thats not BROKE. I hate the new format, I'm about ready to do a Brian France voodoo doll. I probably won't even watch it, its a joke. But then I'm old school, dang I wish I were in Darlington this weekend with my friends watching the real great legends of Nascar.  Na$car really made the shootout a total JOKE now...

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  7. Ahhh!  The ugly truth comes out.  Since COORS is sponsoring the POLE AWARD, it's seems as though BUD wants to distance themselves from their competition.  If your BUD, why would you reward a driver who won the COORS Pole Award???

I really don't have a problem with equal representation from the manufacturers or owners points.

Heck, why not let Jimmy Spencer drive the # 12 car in the Shootout?

Sign him to a 1-race deal.

He has a pretty good record on the restrictor plate tracks.

Now THAT would be news!  Bet he'd change his tune.  LMAO!

  8. OMG The one time Spencer said something right, and I missed it.  lol  The Shootout's always been a special race to me.  I don't like the fact that drivers who haven't yet "proved" themselves will be in the Shootout.  JMHO

  9. Nascar has made alot of changes with the sport...the new car, the chase and now how they run the shootout...i wonder what else they will change, they dont seem to have any tradition left anymore

as far as it goes. its a little intriguing but nothing we can do but accept it and learn to like it

  10. Yeah Trego! I agree!  lol

Jimmy would make a killer Senior Drill Instructor for the pit-crew members.  Or?

Put him behind the desk, in the ''little red trailor'' !

  11. Jimmy Spencer usually doesn't have a clue what he's talking about, but he did say something right for once. The new Bud Shootout format is ridiculous. The guys who won the poles should get their chance to race in their own race. It's c**p that Smoke, Newman, and guys like Carpentier and Menard won't make the race. By the way Brain Vickers will make the Bud Shootout, you said he won't.

  12. The France family is trying to "modernize" NASCAR. What it's doing is ruining tradition. I agree with Spencer. I'm a fifty year fan, and already I'm losing more and more interest. I quit buying tickets two years ago and flying around the USA to different tracks. It has turned into IROC. This Fontana race will be another boring follow the leader, determined with gas mileage, pit strategy and ghost yellows.

  13. That is by far the stupidest change NASCAR has made and let me tell ya they have made some pretty stupid ones.

  14. i am sure Mr.Excitement feels as he appears, soft and squishie. In the big scheme of things, he plays a special part...The Village Idiot. Always has, always will!

  15. Jimmy's right !!

  16. h**l yeah I agree with him.  (Even though he will race 7 races) Joey Logano who hasn't yet raced with the big boys is in.  But yet guys who have won poles and ran all year are stuck having to watch him (which I hope the find something else to do).

  17. i couldn't agree more with jimmy. i hate it. i don't usually say the word hate, but i hate it. it's not fair. how can someone that hasn't even raced a cup race be locked in? that's messed up. i wonder what caused them to do this.
