  1. You could just wedge it behind the strap by the end button or wrap it around the strap.  Maybe not the best choice for the cord, though.

A number of players I've seen have a little device that goes around the cable and is connected either to the strap or to the strap button (where the strap connects to the bottom of the guitar).

    Here's a photo of one: http://www.health.adelaide.edu.au/paed-a...   Here's a video demo of another one:  http://video.aol.com/video-detail/electr...

You can also buy one (called a Cordlok) at: http://bigrockeng.com/

Better than letting it hang as less likely to damage a plug or the guitar itself.  I would imagine any music shop woudl carry a similar clip.

  2. People usually do this so that when they're playing on stage they wont step on the chord and trip. So the way to do this is to put the chord's head between the strap k**b and the strap then pull it until you reach the chord hole of the guitar then plug in when you're standing up the chord will get struck in the strap and the guitar's bottom.

  3. that is so that the guitar will not come unplugged if you step on the cord...  also the cord could be leading to a wireless transmitter on his guitar strap, on his back...
