  1. Honestly, as we see our coastal situation today, littering is one of those reasons why not just mangroves died. Throwing wastes suffocates all living organisms in the ocean(sea, whatsoever). This might lead to bald coastal areas. No place for fishes, crabs, clams to hide.

The truth is, cellophanes which have been thrown along the coastal areas where most mangroves grow restrain those little mangroves who had just sprouted. This plastic covers or somewhat hide it to suns rays.

    I hope this will help.

  2. Garbage prevents mangrove forests from naturally regenerating from seeds, as the young plants are often broken by the solid waste from gullies, or cannot take root in sand/mud covered by garbage.
