How does Neo's passport in The Matrix connect to Dec. 21, 2012?

In the movie The Matrix, Neo's passport expires on Sept. 11, 2001. Freaky I know. How does this correspond with the end of the Mayan long count calender on Dec. 21, 2012 and mathematical calculations of the I Ching? Does this all but guarantee our doom on that fateful day?

  1. It doesn't, but the discovery channel does! The Earth will align with our sun in that year and the results are uncertain. Most scientists say that these things come in cycles, so get ready for another ice-age. The Matrix or Mayan connections wont matter a sh*t.

  2. Don't know, but The Matrix is my bible.  I'm secretly in love with everything about the movie.

  3. It was purely a coincidence that Neo's passport expires on Sept. 11, 2001.

Think about all the movies that came out before Sept. 11, 2001.  There are a lot.  There's a decent probability of at least one of them having Sept, 11, 2001 somewhere in it just by chance.

  4. The Wachowskis wrote a good script, but anything more than that is rubbish. I think it's time for you to crawl back down the rabbit hole to Zion, mate.
