How does Obama plan to bail out the American Auto companies?

Things look very bleak in Michigan. GM is going broke, or has already gone broke.

Is Obama ( if he wins) going to bail out these companies who have thousands of UAW union members if they should vote for him?

no Obama want bail them out but give them tax breaks to retool their Assembly line to make  a better product no more gas gosling cars gm have already started retooling with their new totally electric cars which have had thousand of peoples asking about and wanting to buy them .

the US president does not "bail companies out";  the congress does;  the pres. may sponsor and/or support such relief.

Either Obama or McCain are inheriting a huge mess, and I wish the best of luck to either of them...

He had a speech in MI and talked about this, some points.

Re tool for super fuel efficient cars, hybrid cars, plug in cars.  Government incentives for purchase and support to industries for up front capitol investment. Keep auto manufacturing in MI, but they need to be making desirable, efficient cars.
