Apparently he eats 12,000 calories everyday. The average man is supposed to eat 2000 to 3000 calories a day. How do you burn off 12,000 calories and maintain a body like his???

  1. look what he do daily. he's working out. working it off.

  2. The food gives him the energy and the calories are burned off completely by swimming.

  3. he trains lyk evry day... it is his life, and besides he has to eat heaps in order to have enough energy to do all that work

  4. Well, he's in the Olympics. He needs to eat. Those calories can be from anything like fruits, grains, etc. plus, he is excercising CONSTANTLY, so he must burn off most of them.

    I hope this helped:-)

  5. someone told me all he does is eat, sleep, and swim pretty much. i think it was like 5 miles or something that he swam (a day.. i think) lol

  6. Swimmers have to eat a TON of calories to maintain energy for their workouts.  Especially the olympic swimmers who practice a whole lot with ridiculously intense workouts and high level of competition they compete at.  He needs all that food to keep him going, otherwise he would probably pass out when he swam because his body is burning off all those calories really fast.

    Hope this helps :)

  7. His muscles are already using a higher caloric rate than the average man because he has many more muscles and less fat than the average man. He's also exerting himself at an incredible rate every day.
