Hi all,

Point of interest include:

Will any of these open in between 26th -28th Dec?

And any recommendation to do in Paris during this period?

Many thanks!

  1. Yes, everything will be open as usual. Paris will still have Christmas lights and decorations on so you should definitely enjoy walking in the streets after 5:00 pm when it gets dark and all the lights are on.

Make sure you go to the Champs Elysées to see the Christmas lights: http://pagesperso-orange.fr/crampman/alb... . Go to the department store called 'Les Galleries Lafayette" in the 9th arrondissement to admire the gorgeous dome ceiling inside: http://www.galeries-lafayette-paris.com/ . Boutique and store windows (including food stores!) are really worth seeing during the holiday season.

Also, there will be an outdoor skating rink outside the City Hall: http://www.phan-ngoc.com/fred/paris/html...

Two years ago they had one too on the second floor of the Eiffel tower, I don't know if they will be renewing the experience or not this year.

One thing that I always recommend despite the fact that it is  definitely touristy and not "off the beaten track" at all is a boat tour on the Seine. Equally enjoyable in the daytime or night time (if rainy day, do it at night).
