  1. No. You've got your facts wrong.

Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) started preaching Islam to his people after he received the revelation from Allah when he was 40 years old.

There are Hadiths saying how he looked but if you're looking for a portrait of him, then you're simply wasting your time. In Islam, to portray Allah and His Messengers is blaphemous. Only paintings of plants and abstract patterns are allowed in Islam.

May Allah guide and bless us all.

  2. Uh, I think he was around 40 or so before he did that.

Anyway, read the end of the book called "The Sealed Nectur", it describes some of the Prophet's (peace be upon him) physical features according to haddith. In fact, just read the whole book, it explains his whole life. MashAllah, good book.

  3. he looked like me.

  4. Here is a very detailed description in a biography written by a well known 20th century scholar, Muhamma Zafrulla Khan.

At the time of his marriage with Khadija Muhammad was in the prime of manhood. Slightly above the middle size, his figure, though spare, was handsome and commanding; the chest broad and open; the bones and framework large, and the joints well knit together. His neck was long and finely moulded. His head, unusually large, gave space for a broad and noble brow. The hair, thick, jet-black and slightly curling, fell down over his ears. The eyebrows were arched and joined. His countenance was thin but ruddy. His large eyes, intensely black and piercing, received additional lustre from long, dark eyelashes. The nose was high and slightly aquiline, but fine, and at the end attenuated. The teeth were set apart. A long, black, thick beard reaching to the breast, added manliness and presence. His expression was pensive and contemplative. His face beamed with intelligence. The skin was clear and soft; the only hair that met the eye was a fine thin line, which ran down from his neck towards the navel. His broad back leaned slightly forward as he walked; and his step was hasty, yet short and decided, like that of one rapidly descending a declivity.

There was something unsettled in his eye, which refused to rest upon its object. When he turned towards anyone it was never partially, but with his whole body. Silent and reserved, he was in company distinguished by a graceful urbanity. His words were pregnant and laconic, but when it pleased him to unbend his speech was often humorous. At such seasons he entered with zest into the diversion of the moment, and now and then laughed heartily. But in general he listened to the conversation rather than joined in it.

love for all, hatred for none

  7. “His face shone like the moon.” - (Hind bin Abi Hala)

“His face was round like the moon.” – (Bara bin Azib)

“His face was not quite round but inclined to roundness.” – (Hazrat Ali(R.A))

“Broad forehead, slanting thick brows parted in the middle. A vein protruded between the two parts which became more prominent in anger.” (Hind bin Abi Hala)

  8. Imaam Muhammad bin Ismaa'ee at-Tirmidhee wrote the book "Shamaa'il al Muhammadiyyah" where he describes the prophet salallaahu alihi wa salam using authentic narrations.

  9. I Think you should look at the authentic kitaab SHAMAAIL-E-TIRMIZI it has a detailed answer to your question.

  10. I think one shouldnt ask such kinda questions on net because any of the man can say anything wrong if he is a non muslim and this would give "gunah" to asker

    Because Prophet MUHAMMAD(saw) said

Curse on man who abuses his parents

Sahaba asked who is that man who abuses his parents

Mohammad(saw) said if u abuse other's parents definitely the other one will abuse urs so it is like u abused ur own parents

So it is my request that please don't tend to ask such question which can be used by non-muslim to insult our honourable prophet....
