  1. You think it hurts now? wait'll you get older . . .

young people were once my bread and butter,

today there my judge jury and excutioner . . .

I use to be a performing musician & song writter

bringiing beauty in the world, and touching peoples

lives with my music today i'm an over the hill white

male, look'ed  upon as a peice of s**t,  by young

people who claim to be not racist or stereo typical,

always spouting off how age is just a number, yet

i walk in a music store to buy an instrument and

while i'm trying it out, young guys and girls look

at me like i should be carrying a gun or a knife,

as if to say your white and over the hill, what the

h**l are you doing in society?

now i write love poetry about my wife who i met

insidently while gigging one night a long time ago

playing in a rock band in a night club, since the

emergence of the computer i now can use this

to aid in my efforts as a composer and muscian

and poet, but i don't dare do something i thought

when i was younger i could do, something i thought

would be a natural progression of life being that i was

involved in the arts, never thinking that interacting

with future generations in an artistic way, would

one day be a felonious attitude ingrained in the minds

of societies youth, that the day would come i'd be looked

at, with mistrust, dudbed as an over the hill white male,

instead the performing artist i was once seen as, boy talk

about being naieve, i could  be the senior poster child

    for being naieve . . .

people my age b***h to much about younger people

and vice versa, young people can't even relate to what

i do anymore, why an old hag would even be on a computer,

how ironic, considering what i've seen on here and even in

the senior section, how  everybody talks a good show,

how age is only in the mind and is just a number, and one

who's young at heart is such a joy to see, yeh right,

dream on, what's plain to see is that like racisum,

and ageisum,  hypocracy is very much alive and well . . .

How many times i've tried to start a poetry site or a  blog

sites wanting to give people of all ages and both genders

and all races and nationalities and religious and non  religious,

as well,  and different gender preferances,  a chances to share

what they do  artisticaly with the world, or merely a place to

come and b***h about things in life there not happy with,

yet  to no avail, cause of my age and gender, curious as to the

fact why old guys would even do what i do, after all, in todays

polliticaly correct society, it's only correct that i'd be catorgorized

as an over the hill white male, a term i didn't invent, btw. automaticly

makimg me what else? but a serial killer or perve . . .

so you see rejection in a way is like another word that starts wit R,

and ends with T, sn't it?  only against one's own color, in this case

    white . . .

Ok let's see you were asking, as you put it, " Honestly "

How does Rejection make you feel? and do you ever

    overcome it?"  . . . No, you don't,  . . " .Honestly  ". . .

    But don't take my word 4 it, as i said, wait'll you get older . . .

  2. I just put on my big girl panties and deal with it. When you're an author searching for a publisher, you get used to being rejected time and time again.

  3. Poppet, even at my age, It bloody well hurts like h**l!

But you know what, Life goes on, and I will Survive!

  4. I think it feels horrible.People never really get over it, inside it kinda lingers. It is a shame most people feel it at least once in their life. I hope this hasn't happened to you.

  5. Rejection makes me doubt myself, but I have to keep on keeping on.

It's too easy to give up.

  6. I don't believe anyone likes to be rejected but i don't think anyone should dwell on it it may hurt for just a moment.

  7. i use to take it really hard andnot deal with it very well,,,,but i learned to accept and mve on
