How does Showtime On Demand work?

I would like to watch the new season on The L Word without paying for showtime every month.... Does anyone know how Showtime On Demand works? I went to the showtime website but it was a bit confusing....

No,  that's not at all how Showtime on Demand works, unfortunately.

Basically, if you subscribe to Showtime (i.e. pay the monthly service chare that you would like to avoid), then you get access to an on-demand service that lets you access the programs you want to watch whenever you would like, rather than just when they are normally scheduled.  It's something like a big, off-site DVR.  But, the key point is, you have to be a Showtime subscriber to get access to this service.

Your best bet is to rent the "L-word" DVDs at Blockbuster or Netflix.
