  1. It's funny because, IMO, there is a little bit of truth in every stereotype.  However, the problem is every stereotype does not apply to everyone who may have similarities to the situation and that is how they hurt or affect people.

  2. it causes strength to you who hide behind stereo types.but, it causes week opinions of them.

  3. It doesn't give people a chance to be understood. And it is not freedom for the person, but the person is put into a invisible box for them not to be themselves.

  4. it can stigamatize a person meaning he or she may here something so much and eventually begin to act that way.

or a stereotype could do the opposite and a a person may act completely opposite of the stereo type so he or she is not seen that way.

stereo types can make a person to feel lesser than they are more inadequate

or if its a positive stereotype it may cause a person to act arrogant

  5. The affect of stereotyping someone is that it robs that person of their individuality.  People make assumptions about others based on age, gender, appearance, etc...   This is the simplest way to define someone and although it may be convenient, getting to know someone as an individual is much more rewarding.

  6. The way people dress, people have made up their judgement about people, instead of talking to them. For example I this experiment for my own benefit years ago. I have this favourite very stretched jumper that my partner use to wear, I love it it is the most comfortable item of clothing I have, I got on a bus wearing this jumper, I sat on the bus seat, all the seats were full but there was a spare seat by me, it took ages to be used ( I'm well educated). I thought in this era that people would be pass this. I could live in a rubbish tip and wear a $1000.00 out fit, people would be thinking I'm upper class and have a nice home etc. The old saying, you can't judge a book by it's cover.

  7. People tend to use them as smoke-curtain. it affects all walks of life : the "white" stereotype, the "black" stereotype, the "free-thinker" stereotype, the "cultured person" steretype, the "religious person" stereotype... We want to be part of a group.Stereotypes are the response to man´s gregarious instinct. I do the same AS... and we have lost our individaulity.

  8. It makes the people being stereotype upset and angry to a certain extent, i don't think people should be labelled into a category because we are all different.

For example I'm blonde so all the connotations of being blonde are negative because people just assume that you are stupid, fake and don't know much about anything and it hurts when people just take that stigma for granted because I'm neither of those ^^ the same goes for goths, emos, neds/chavs ect because they are being labelled because of the way they dress and obviously they don't all act the same or have the same attitude ;D

  9. it actually forms the pre-existing prejudices. ^_^
