so last year, DEI lost Jr to Hendrick. Im a Jr fan and I love it. that happened mid season, now, mid season again, DEI is loosing Mark Martin to Hendrick. How do you think Teresa feels about loosing 2 drivers, back to back years, to the same company.

  1. She doesn't care.... which is about the same strategy she uses to run the company.

  2. She's not really losing Mark.  He was only there as a temporary mentor.  DEI will be fine.  She didn't really lose JR either.  It was a decision JR made and not her. If he were a man he would have worked out an agreement instead of jumping ship.

Jr's not really turning water into wine this year either.

  3. I don't imagine she could feel to great about losing 2 very popular drivers.  Can't be good for business.

  4. Soon it will be 3 drivers in two years.  I think she really messed up.  I hope it was worth it, Teresa.

  5. I dunno, I suppose it makes her feel pretty loose.

  6. I'm proud of her, if my driver acted as immature as Junior did with his attempted power grab last year I'd also be saying don't let the door hit you in the *** on the way out.

    Teresa Earnhardt Rules!

  7. Not too bad.  Jr was not mature enough to have 51% control of the business yet.  Even put a double stamp on being immature by crying & leaving HIS DAD'S OWN PROGRAM.  Sad, sad, sad.  Mark Martin was just a "gap theory" deal.  To fill in until AJ was ready to do the full schedule on his own.

DEI cars didn't look too bad last night.

  8. If I were Theresa I wouldn't worry about those that have left.  her main focus should be on re-signing Truex, dumping Menard and adding McMurray or Mears.  Truex and Almirola are 2 decent young up and coming talents.

  9. I'm hoping that she feels like she really put her foot in it. DEI was built for the kids - Kerry, Kelly and Dale Jr., not for her. Kelly and Dale Jr. wanted majority share in the company - not the whole thing, and she wouldn't budge. So, they did what they had to do and left for another team. Their relationship has always been pretty rocky anyway. I don't really know what the deal with Mark Martin leaving is all about, but he'll have a good ride with HMS. I think Teresa really needs to think about her drivers - making them happy and such - and not just about the money they can bring in for her. Maybe losing Dale Jr. and then Mark Martin back to back will help her take a step back and look at the big picture. If it keeps going this way... she'll lose Truex next.

  10. alanfried, you're an idiot, Jr blew 3 engines in 2005 and 2006 combined to losing 6 in 2007, when your company as a whole blew 13(including 4 in one race), that's an engine dept. issue not a driver thing. And Jr was making Theresa more money than he was costing her with those JC Whitney engines.

  11. Considering she can't even be bothered to come to the races, she probably doesn't care.  Hopefully she'll care when she realizes her best driver for 2009 will be Regan Smith!

  12. their will probably wont even be A dei in a couple of years the way she is running them out.  I am sure Truex is 70 % out the door.

  13. Junior wasnt doing anything but blowing motors and costing her money, she's probably sayin good riddance and let Prick Hendrick deal with the spoiled brat. Martin has been a good mentor to the young drivers they ensure a bright future for DEI. Junior was so old news, who needs a hat salesman?

  14. Probably not good.

And IF the rumors Martin Truex, Bass Pro, and the Menards sponsorship are all gonna go turn out to be true, I think Tony Stewart's predictions of DEI becoming a museum are gonna end up being true.

EDIT: I really need to read my answers before posting them.

  15. she should have shared the company with jr and his sister. she brought it on herself. when and my friend katie pranked called her by the way. pretty funny stuff...

  16. look Teresa is a ***** and now everyone sees it she has no clue how to run a nascar team look how far the team have dropped since Dale Earnhardt died and it's only getting worse. maybe she will come to senses and sell it to JR.

  17. If there's one thing you learn in Nascar, it's to look ahead and not back. She can't spend her time worrying about losing drivers and find some to replace them.

  18. I don't think she cared too much when she lost Dale Jr. but probably felt a sting when Mark announced. Seems recently that the #8 DEI car is a filter to Hendrick.

  19. she should have let jr have 51% of DEI and they both would have been there forever

  20. doesnt care

  21. They knew that Mark Martin wouldn't stay around, he was a part time driver. They were slowly bring up Aric Almirola for the ride.
