...it will be on Friday in Detroit, and the Windsor forecast is calling for 33 degrees (92 on the old F scale). I imagine the heat sink of Detroit would intensify that?

  1. They'll probably turn down the chiller under the ice to attempt to keep the ice harder. (the warmer the ice the softer it is)

  2. Joe started an Icee Stand? ......in Detroit none the less???

i figured he would have sold them at a Phillies game

  3. and it goes to ot's. it's going to be death by icing. naw. i'm sure they'll try all they can to make sure the ice stays decent during the game.

it's going to be great weather on friday! bikinis r us...and also i'm one of those people who say there shouldn't be hockey in places with warm temperature...but knowing that detroit & southern ontario area all have really horrible winters i'll still stand by the there shouldn't be hockey in places where the sun shines more than there is snowfall, and also golf courses (wich aren't environmentally friendly). death to golf.

i can't stand the humidity either...that's why i've joined mayor miller in his lets blame the americans about our smog crusade. i live close enough to the lake so that my area gets moderate temperature rates but still friday will be awesome. 32!!!! summer's gonna be killer (literally. all the old people are lined up already).

  4. Kick on the A/C full blast!

That brings back the days of when our tiny little professional team (UHL) was playing when the days of spring were turning hot, and our ice MELTED.

Not completely.  But enough to cause water to come up past your ankles.  Kinda funny to see them working to try to freeze the ice again, the Zamboni going through the water for no reason.

Then we didn't get a refund for our tickets.  Jerks.  That's probably why our team hasn't been here in over 5 years.

  5. You think thats hot?

Just wait until a Stanley Cup final is held in Phoenix and the Temp outside is over 115 degrees in the Valley of the Sun.

  6. ummm...game 7 is Sat.

  7. And all these people saying hockey doesn't belong where there is warm weather! ;-)

  8. Yeah, the weather here is getting warmer!

And also why does the outside of the Joe smell like rotten eggs?
